Nick Gendry is a British artist based in London. His paintings are often linked with the urban art scene, being mainly known for his oil paintings on used floppy disks set on wood.
He is influenced by the development of technology and consumerism in the society. To portray this emerging cyberculture he creates portraits in used floppy disks, giving a new aspect to the paintings by having as a support the personal data and memories of so may that used them, at the same time making his subjects gain a bionic aspect.
B’CONNECTED is a platform to share ideas and expand creativity by promoting young and established authors working in different areas of visual arts.
The authors and projects are selected based on creativity and innovation by BESIGN, a design company in Lisbon with a national and international customer base.
