Born in Erba in 1958, Marco Castelletti graduated from Genova Faculty of Architecture in 1983 and opened a studio in Erba in the province of Como in 1987. His interest centers, in the early years of activity, on the theme of urban regeneration and public space with participation in numerous architectural competitions, getting 17 first awards.
This brought him over the years to redevelop lakeside promenades and squares of different cities and countries, including the center of San Giuliano Milanese, the squares on the lake of Lecco and Goldoni square in Trieste. At the same time his studies are oriented toward the resolution of issues related to the landscape and places of particular interest in environmental research related to the context of architecture.
International recognition takes place in December 2004 with the achievement of two awards at 'Award AR+D Emerging Architecture' at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, in February of 2005, he was invited to give a lecture at the same site.
For his projects and his work he has been a member of the Italian Association of Landscape Architects since 2007.
Has many publications in trade magazines and an inclusion in the prestigious book of Phaidon Press "World Atlas of architecture of 21 century" in 2008.
